Turkey celebrates the World Cup

After an absence of almost half a century, Turkey's national soccer team made it to the Korea-Japan World Cup, which took place last June in those two asian countries. In spite of the forecasts, which predicted the team would have an average performance, the turkish players showed an excellent team work and skills that allowed the team to survive round after round. When the players arrived to Istanbul on June 30, they were welcomed with a cheering crowd, from the airport and into the streets. After a three hour drive in Istanbul, they reached Taksim square, the biggest square in the city. A lights and fireworks show opened Tarkan's appearance. Tarkan sang "Bir Oluruz Yoluna" together with the players on stage, to celebrate the victory of a nation.
